Installation Guide

Step 1Create Your Hydrate Account
Sign up for an account.
  • Click 'Sign In' to create your account with Email or Google
  • Account is optional for free tier.
  • Sign up for Pro or Max tier to get your Hydrate license key.
Step 2Open Obsidian Settings
In Obsidian, go to Settings (gear icon) → Community plugins
  • Click the gear icon in the bottom left of Obsidian
  • Navigate to 'Community plugins' in the left sidebar
  • Make sure 'Safe mode' is turned OFF to enable community plugins
Step 3Search for Hydrate
Browse community plugins and search for 'Hydrate'
  • Click 'Browse' next to Community plugins
  • Search for 'Hydrate' in the plugin search bar
  • Look for the official Hydrate plugin.
Step 4Install & Configure
Install the plugin and add your Hydrate API key
  • Click 'Install' on the Hydrate plugin
  • After installation, click 'Enable' to activate it
  • Go to Settings → Hydrate and paste your license key
  • Configure your API keys in the Hydrate settings
  • Start using Hydrate in your vault

Common issues and solutions

Plugin not appearing in Community Plugins?

Make sure you have the latest version of Obsidian and that Safe mode is disabled in Settings → Community plugins.

API key not working?

Make sure you've copied your Hydrate API key correctly from your dashboard. Check that you have sufficient credits in your account.
